Okay im a little late in sharing these pics but thought you would like to see a few pics from west hollywood’s holloween carnival.

The West Hollywood annual Halloween Costume Carnaval is the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties. Santa Monica Boulevard is closed (between La Cienega and Doheny Boulevards) to accommodate around 400,000 revellers in outrageous Halloween costumes.

This event is the largest Halloween street party in the US. As well as the huge parade, there are four stages featuring non-stop entertainment with dancing, music, costume contests and the best drag competition. The party continues all night at any number of clubs and bars in the area.

West Hollywood on Halloween night is not for anyone who is easily offended. Leave your inhibitions at home and party!

The highlight of the evening will be the crowning of the new celebrity Honorary Mayor.The Celebrity Honorary Mayor will be presented the keys to the city on the main stage.

In 2002, the Carnaval was host to big name entertainers like Pink, Paulina Rubio and Berlin. People of all faces and from all places gather in West Hollywood to celebrate this extremely fun night in which diversity is always the highlight. The Carnaval began as a primarily Gay event and has now grown to include families, straight and gay and lesbian individuals.

Just got back from Vegas, had an awesome time. Suggestions, if your a real thrill seaker try the rides on top of the stratosphere tower, looked like people were going to have heart attacks, wouldn’t catch me on those rides. Anyway, i’ll be updating my site soon….Need a minute to recover…too much fun. Okay so who’s going to vegas…any suggestions most appreciated…talk to you all soon.

I just had to share this with everyone, in light of the gay pride post and celebrations.

It’s a “fire rainbow”. THE rarest of all naturally occuring atmospheric phenomena.

This particular picture was photographed on the Idaho and Washington borders, and spanned approximately one hour.

In order for the phenomena to occur, the clouds must be cirrus, at least 20k feet in the air, and have just the right amount of ice crystals. The sun has to be precisely placed and hit the clouds at exactly 58 degrees.

Now .. THAT is quite a phenomena.
